This monument to a slain police officer depicts "community policing" at its finest. The admiration of the young boy and the interest of the officer in this child represent the positive relationship between neighborhood police and residents. Another work by Mico Kaufman in the plaza is ITALIA, which celebrates Italian immigrants who became citizens of the USA and Lowell in particular.
