Miko Kaufman

Debussy

This sculpture is dedicated to the memory of French composer Claude Debussy. The figures at the base of the statue depict two of Debussy's best-known works: "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Fawn" and "Pelleas et Melisande." Mico Kaufman has represented visually the "uplifting" nature of the renowned composer's music.

This 1987 sculpture is located in the South Campus of the University of Massachusetts in Lowell, at Broadway and Wilder St.
